The mission of our studio is to advance public health literacy, but to do so with a good dose of laughter.
Dr. Stolp is a physician with over 40 years of prior experience in clinical medicine and public health who learned along the way that a majority of the work in health care involves sharing information with the patient. He is a published author of children's books intended to illuminate science-based secrets of personal and community health and believes that modern animation technology offers unmatched opportunities to both entertain and educate the public on topics ranging from addiction to environmental stewardship and prevention of infectious disease. He also believes that a sense of humor is often the best catalyst for education.

After running a rural Family Practice for 17 years, Dr. Stolp was the Health Officer for a rural county in California for 12 years. He served on state and national public health committees during his tenure as heath officer, then after working in Africa on the west African Ebola outbreak in 2015, he worked for the California Public Health Department on the Zika and COVID-19 outbreaks. He now hopes to share his medical insights by producing animated films before his brain oxidizes in retirement.
"It is astonishing with how little reading a doctor can practice medicine, but it is not astonishing how badly he may do it." - Sir William Osler
