Steven is a series producer, director and editor of hundreds of hours of unscripted and documentary programming. He developed, launched, and series produced 5 seasons of Food Network Canada’s, You Gotta Eat Here!
His latest foray into screenwriting led him to secure the rights to Janet Lunn’s award-winning novel, ‘Shadow In Hawthorn Bay,’ where his screenplay has accumulated multiple competition awards. Selected credits: Austin, Atlanta, Vail, Sweden, Athens, and The Golden Script International Screenwriting Competition.
Steven is currently writing his next screenplays, a dystopian fantasy titled, THE SAGA OF SKALLAGRIM ICE-WASTER and the true historical story, THE CLOWN RIOTS.
He is a passionate storyteller and multi-award winner, leading his YGEH! production team to two “Best Lifestyle” Canadian Screen Awards. He received “Best Direction” for his documentary, Youth & Crime: Beyond the Headlines at Worldfest Houston and “Best Musical” at both Worldfest Houston and the New York International Independent Film Festival for his Cranky Christmas concert film.
Steven has worked closely with and directed celebrity talent such as Jim Henson, Jerry O’Connell, Lorne Greene, Reuben “Hurricane” Carter, chef Roger Mooking, and seven-time CCMA’s Guitar Player of the Year, Wendell Ferguson.
