Steve Giordano is a former airline captain and entrepreneur that currently serves as the Managing Director of the Nomadic Aviation Group. Over the last 16 years, Giordano has cofounded and presently operates businesses that undertake highly specialized flight-test and delivery operations on Boeing and Airbus airliners around the world. The job requires Giordano to travel over 200 days per year over 6 continents and over 70 countries.
Because this special operation is so unique, the missions have generated significant attention in both mainstream and social media, and in 2021 Giordano began creating and producing video content through the business entity Speedtape Films LLC. The first project titled "Cockpit Casual" is an entirely self-produced docuseries that follows Giordano and his colleagues as they pick up empty airliners in one part of the world, and deliver them thousands of miles away; across oceans, deserts, and remote areas few people have seen. The series, much like the rest of Giordano's work features original jazz recorded and performed by Steve Giordano Sr. (Steve's father) who has been a professional jazz musician in Philadelphia since the 1970s and who is a local music legend in the Philly jazz scene. The videos are narrated, edited, and produced by Steve Giordano himself and featured on Youtube as well as the official Speedtape Films website www.speedtapefilms.com.
Though Giordano's foray into filmmaking is purely for the art of it currently, he is open to the possibility of producing commercial works through the right kind of "situation" with a major studio or media company.
