Stefano Viali, made his debut in theater as a director and actor in 1982 with the show "Omaggio a Petrolini". (Selected by critics among Italian novelties 81/82). He has studied with Paolo Panelli and has partecipated in several films and television productions, both in Italy and abroad. David di Donatello 2005 and Special Mention at Nastri d’Argento for his first shortmovie: “Lotta Libera”. In 2006, he directed the docufiction "The Hidden Gendercide" and the shortmovie "Forme" (Special Mention at Nastri d’Argento). In the following years he directed the shortmovie "A nurse named Laura", the docufiction "History of a shipwreck - Singing for Migrants". In 2015 he directed the shortmovie: "Public Obscenity". In 2017 he produced and directed with Francesca Pirani “Beo” a documentary, selected and awarded in several international festivals. Last year, he directed the short “Showdown”. He is preparing his first feature film.
Francesca Pirani, graduated as a director at the National Film School in Rome, degree in History and Criticism of Cinema, diploma as an actress at the National Academy of Dramatic Art "Silvio D'Amico". She wrote the screenplay for "La visione del Sabba" by Marco Bellocchio. In 2002 she won the financing of the Istituto Luce for the development of an original screenplay. Between 2002 and 2011 she made several documentaries with Carlo Lizzani, including "Napoli! Naples! Naples!". In 2012 she wrote and directed the theatrical play: " '77 The revolution is over. We have won. ". In 2017 she wrote and staged with Stefano Viali " 77 Dark straw rag mob ", as part of a master class for the actors of the Teatro di Roma. She directed two feature films: "L'appartamento" and "Una bellezza che non leave scampo" presented in several international festivals. She published the book: "Tarkovskij - The nostalgia of harmony".
