SONIA BLANGIARDO-GOINS is a 3x Emmy winner and 8x nominee, with over 30 years of experience as a producer/director who is currently one of the regular directors on the daytime drama, Days Of Our Lives.
Sonia is the Creator, Writer, Director, and Executive Producer of the multiple Emmy nominated Tainted Dreams, now streaming its 2nd season on Amazon.
Sonia is also the co-owner of The Usual BS Productions, founded with husband, Brandon Goins. The Usual BS Productions focuses on writing and creating both scripted series and films of varying genres. Their first scripted comedy series, Viral, starring Melissa Archer and Jessica Morris, was recently nominated for several Indie Series Awards, including a win for Melissa Archer in the "Best Lead Actress in a Comedy" category.
Sonia was also the Executive Producer of C.A.W.L. (College Arm Wrestling League) TO ARMS, which aired on ESPN in May, 2014.
Sonia began her career as a production assistant for ABC’s All My Children, serving as an associate producer before joining ABC’s One Life to Live as a Coordinating Producer in 2000. In 2004 she joined CBS’ As the World Turns as a director and line producer. She then joined the directing team at ABC’s General Hospital. Sonia won an Emmy for producing in 2002 and directing in 2007.
Sonia directed and produced the revival of the Off-Broadway hit My Big Gay Italian Wedding and My Big Gay Italian Funeral in New York City and the world premiere of My Big Gay Italian Christmas at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City.
Sonia mostly recently directed the digital series, Winterthorne and Amazon’s Ladies of the Lake Season One & Two.
Sonia is the founder of CARLO’S GOAL, a non-for-profit organization for pancreatic cancer research, which has raised over $30,000.
A graduate of St. John’s University, Sonia is fluent in Italian and has reading comprehension of Spanish.
