Somnath, born on 16th December,1996, in a small town of Nadia district, WB, India. His father Madhab Halder is a business man by profession and mother Sunandita Halder housewife. After 12 years of schooling in English Medium, he completed his further education (Graduation) in English honours. He went for several jobs but his prime focus is to make career as an actor.

Somnath started his career in theatre. He joined theatre when he was just 6. Having theatre experience over 16+ years, he now also find more to learn from theatre. He started with Malanchya Natya Gosthi and currently going with Ichapur Aleya.

His first Tv program was in CTVN channel performing a short poem on Tagore. Then he got his first film on 2014 on Tollywood named AADHUNIK, directed by Apurba Banerjee. Then following he worked for short films for NFDC, Delhi. Also worked in a renowned bengali daily as an Actor as well as Asst. Creative Director, Apurba Banerjee as senior.

Got call from Mumbai to work as an Asst. Art Director in a hindi film MOR DUNGRI, directed by Shyyam Upadhyay, shot in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Following, got the next bollywood film and there as an Asst. Director. The second was shot on Gujrat in a studio.
