O Festival Internacional de Cinema do Sul do Brasil abre suas portas para cineastas que compartilham uma visão genuína da sétima arte. Nossa curadoria busca filmes que vão além da temática e exploram a essência do cinema: valorizamos produções que se destacam pela qualidade técnica, pela precisão da forma e pela força expressiva de suas atuações.

Se você tem um filme que mergulha na potência do audiovisual como linguagem artística, inscreva-se! Queremos obras que dialoguem com a cinematografia de forma inovadora e intensa, entregando ao espectador uma experiência única e imersiva.

Serão aceitos:

Longas-metragens ficção: duração mínima de 60 minutos (incluindo créditos);
Longas-metragens documentário: duração mínima de 60 minutos (incluindo créditos);

Curtas-metragens de ficção: duração máxima de 30 minutos (incluindo créditos);
Curtas-metragens documentário: duração máxima de 30 minutos (incluindo créditos);

Filmes de animação não serão aceitos.

O Festival Internacional de Cinema do Sul do Brasil acontecerá presencialmente em Novembro de 2025, em Florianópolis. Durante o evento, o público poderá assistir gratuitamente às exibições das obras selecionadas. O Centro Cultural Camarim será o palco das projeções, onde os vencedores de cada categoria terão sua obra exibida em uma celebração do cinema.

South Brazil International Film Festival - SOBIFF - 2025

The South Brazil International Film Festival opens its doors to filmmakers who share a genuine vision of the seventh art. Our curation seeks films that go beyond themes and explore the essence of cinema: we value productions that stand out for their technical quality, precision of form, and the expressive power of their performances.

If you have a film that delves into the power of audiovisual language as an artistic expression, submit it! We are looking for works that engage with cinematography in an innovative and intense way, delivering a unique and immersive experience to the audience.

Submissions Accepted:

- Feature-length fiction films: minimum duration of 60 minutes (including credits);
- Feature-length documentary films: minimum duration of 60 minutes (including credits);
- Short fiction films: maximum duration of 30 minutes (including credits);
- Short documentary films: maximum duration of 30 minutes (including credits);
- Animated films will not be accepted.

The South Brazil International Film Festival will take place in person in November 2025, in Florianópolis. During the event, the public will have free access to the screenings of the selected works. The Centro Cultural Camarim will be the venue for the screenings, where the winners of each category will have their films showcased in a celebration of cinema.

Rules & Terms

PORTUGUESE:

01- Os filmes serão aceitos, mesmo que já tenham participado de outros festivais, exibições públicas ou comerciais em cinemas, teatros ou auditórios. Não serão aceitos filmes que estejam em exibição pública online (exceto em outros festivais) ou em streaming;
02 - Os filmes devem ser enviados em sua versão original;
03 - Filmes não falados em português devem conter legendas em português ou inglês;
04 - Inscrições ou materiais enviados com atraso não serão aceitos;
05 - Todo material enviado ao festival não será devolvido;
06 - Com o objetivo de proteger o interesse dos realizadores, todos os filmes selecionados serão arquivados na FILMOTECA com o único propósito de documentação e pesquisa, não ficando disponível para empréstimos;
07 - Os filmes selecionados serão anunciados no site www.sobiff.com, nas redes sociais do festival e em outros meios e mídias disponíveis;
08- Todos os filmes selecionados terão trechos copiados para fins de divulgação (TV, site, e/ou outros meios);
09 - A programação fica totalmente a critério dos curadores de cada sessão do festival e suas decisões são finais e irrevogáveis;
10- Todos os filmes premiados serão exibidos. Alguns filmes indicados também poderão ser exibidos, ficando a cargo da curadoria quais serão;
11- Nenhum filme selecionado pode ser retirado da programação do festival após a confirmação de participação;
12- Em caso de seleção, o responsável pelo filme não falados em português deverá fornecer o arquivo de legenda em Inglês ou Português em formato .srt;
13- O festival não confirmará o recebimento de nenhum material de inscrição por email e pedimos que por favor não envie e-mail solicitando a confirmação;
14- A inscrição só será aceita após o cumprimento das exigências previstas neste Regulamento;
15- Somente projetos inscritos de acordo e conforme este Regulamento serão considerados para a seleção do festival;
16- A inscrição no festival implica na aceitação das exigências previstas no presente regulamento;
17 - Só poderão ser inscritos filmes finalizados a partir de janeiro de 2024;
18 - O Produtor, distribuidor, diretor ou agente responsável pela submissão do projeto assume a total responsabilidade pela garantia da posse, permissão ou direitos de uso dos direitos autorais, de imagem e de som;
19 - Filmes gerados com imagens por Inteligência Artificial deverão indicar essa informação em seu cadastro ou nos créditos;
20 - O Festival não será responsável por nenhum tipo de pagamento por premiação, custos de produção, viagens ou hospedagens.
21 - Os filmes selecionados e vencedores serão listados no site do festival e em suas redes sociais por tempo indeterminado.
22 -Filmes produzidos e finalizados por estudantes poderão optar por esse tipo de taxa. Serão aceitos apenas filmes em que o diretor seja estudante e o filme deve ter sido produzido e finalizado durante o período de estudo. Um comprovante de condição de estudante poderá ser solicitado.

Duração dos filmes:

Serão aceitos curtas-metragens até 30 min (incluindo créditos)
Serão aceitos longas-metragens a partir de 60 min (incluindo créditos)

Regulations for Film Submission:

01- Films will be accepted even if they have already participated in other festivals, public or commercial screenings in cinemas, theaters or auditoriums. Films that are available for online public screen (excepet in other festivals) or streaming will not be accepted;
02 - Films must be submitted in their original version.
03 - Films not spoken in Portuguese MUST HAVE subtitles in either Portuguese OR English.
04 - Late submissions or materials will not be accepted.
05 - All materials submitted to the festival will not be returned.
06 - To protect the interests of filmmakers, all selected films will be archived in the FILMOTECA for documentation and research purposes only, and will not be available for loan.
07 - Selected films will be announced on the website www.sobiff.com, on the festival's social networks and in any other available media;
08 - Excerpts from all selected films may be copied for promotional purposes (TV, website, and/or other media).
09 - The festival's programming is entirely at the discretion of the curators of each session, and their decisions are final and irrevocable.
10 - All award-winning films will be screened. Some nominated films may also be screened, at the discretion of the curators.
11 - No selected film may be withdrawn from the festival program after participation has been confirmed.
12 - In case of selection, the representtive for a film not spoken in Portuguese must provide the subtitle file in English OR Portuguese in .srt format;
13 - The festival will not confirm the receipt of any submission materials via email, and we kindly ask that no confirmation requests be sent.
14 - Submissions will only be accepted upon compliance with all requirements stated in these regulations.
15 - Only projects submitted in accordance with these regulations will be considered for selection.
16 - Submission to the festival implies acceptance of all requirements stated in these regulations.
17 - Only films completed from January 2024 onwards may be submitted.
18 - The producer, distributor, director or agent responsible for submitting the project assumes full responsibility for ensuring ownership, permission or rights of use of copyright, image and sound;
19 - Films generated with images by Artificial Intelligence must indicate this information in their registration or in the film credits;
20 - The Festival will not be responsible for any type of payment for prizes, production costs, travel or accommodation.
21 - The selected and winning films will be listed on the festival website and on its social networks for an indefinite period.
22 - Films produced and completed by students may opt for this type of fee. Only films in which the director is a student will be accepted and the film must have been produced and completed during the period of study. Proof of student status may be requested

Film Lenght:

Short films: up to 30 minutes (including credits).

Feature films: minimum of 60 minutes (including credits).
