1. Films must be submitted by the super late deadline to be considered for that season's programming.
2. Film Entrants must submit via FilmFreeway with an online screener for consideration.
3. All entries must be in English or subtitled, unless special arrangements have been made with festival.
4. All films selected for screening, grant Slightly American Screening Series the right to use stills and excerpts of up to two minutes for promotional purposes.
5. Festival is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged entries.
6. Exceptions to the festival regulations must be authorized by the Festival Director.
7. Multiple entries are permissible, but each entry must be accompanied by a separate entry and fee.
8. Submissions will not be returned.
12. All fees are nonrefundable.
13. Submitting is not a guarantee of being programmed.
Eligibility:
Films submitted must be original works of the entrant. Films must not infringe upon the copyrights or any other rights of any third party. Films must be in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Selection Process:
The festival organizers will review all submitted films and select those that meet the festival's criteria for screening. The selection process is at the sole discretion of the festival organizers and their decision is final. Selected filmmakers will be notified of their acceptance and provided with further instructions.
Screening and Exhibition:
Films selected for screening will be exhibited during the series at the designated venue and time. The festival organizers reserve the right to schedule and reschedule screenings as necessary. Filmmakers whose films are selected for screening grant the festival the right to publicly exhibit their work during the festival.
Rights and Permissions:
Filmmakers retain all rights to their films. By submitting a film, filmmakers grant the festival the right to use excerpts or stills from their film for promotional purposes. The festival organizers will not be held responsible for any unauthorized use of copyrighted material in the submitted films.
Liability:
The festival organizers will take reasonable care of all submitted films but will not be held responsible for any loss, damage, or theft. Filmmakers are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions, licenses, and releases for their films. The festival organizers will not be liable for any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the screening or exhibition of the films.
Agreement:
By submitting a film to the festival, filmmakers agree to comply with these terms and conditions and any additional rules or guidelines provided by the festival organizers.
