But many films don't begin speaking with distributors until very late in the process, at which point some distributors who might have expressed interest earlier may unfortunately pass. Getting the best distribution is all about timing and having experienced advocates on your side.

Slated also offers unprecedented transparency as to the performance of your film. You spent years of your life making the movie and you deserve to know how its performing financially.

Other Considerations
- NO upfront cost for winners. Simply the submission fee to review the cut.
- NO obligation to accept any offer made by Slated or any Slated-introduced distributor.
- 100% of winners so far have received at least one offer

Rules & Terms

1. Films must be feature length film (60+ min)
2. Films must be English-language or have English-language subtitles
3. Films must not have been released in the US on any format, nor screened publicly online.
4. All submissions must have been completed after 1 January 2023.
5. Work-in-progress cuts, rough cuts, and fine cuts are accepted. However, please be aware that we do not re-screen your film if you send a final cut after submitting a rough cut.
We do not accept subsequent cuts or more complete versions of submitted films, therefore changing or updating the originally submitted link is not accepted. Only one version of the film will be reviewed.
6. Films with worldwide sales/distribution already in place are NOT accepted.
7. Finalists are selected on a rolling basis.
8. All finalists and the Grand Prize winner will be contacted by the notification deadline.
9. Films must be submitted via online screener ONLY.
10. The submission fee is non-refundable.
11. Submissions are reviewed and selected under the following criteria:
- Quality of narrative and production values.
- Artistic merit and/or commercial appeal
- Visuals and performances
12. For all finalists, the Slated Distribution Showcase reserves the right to withdraw any offer for representation by Slated for sales and distribution after the preliminary phone consultation.
