Simon Acosta is a British-Colombian director, writer, and producer known for Corteza (2025), Mitu (2016) and Hellhounds (2018). In 2012, he established Plot Studio to develop audiovisual projects with aim of telling riveting stories that change the world.

Over the years he has produced a number of feature films such as Cavewoman (2022) by Spiros Stathoulopoulos, Matrioshka (2024) by Jorge Forero, Semilla del Desierto (2025) by Sebastian Parra and Barbitch (2024) by Diego Cruz. His films have been selected for prestigious festivals such as the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Cartagena Film Festival, Thessaloniki International Film Festival, and AnimaMundi, showcasing his work to global audiences and independent cinema.

Acosta is dedicated to fostering co-productions between Latin America and the UK, creating opportunities for cross-cultural collaboration.
