Sid Strickland (they/them) is a London-based producer who works across HETV and film. Sid worked as a script editor in television at companies like World Productions, Carnival Films, ITV Studios and New Pictures. They worked on RTS Award-winning SAVE ME (Sky Atlantic), written and starring Lennie James, VERA (ITV), and THE LAST KINGDOM (Netflix) and went on to be script executive for Series 5. They were Story Producer on Sky Studios drama, THE RISING, and Paramount+ thriller NO ESCAPE, which they spent six months shooting in Thailand.
They are currently a Development Producer at Motive Pictures, producers of BAFTA nominated GET MILLIE BLACK, THE WOMAN IN THE WALL and Guy Ritchie’s YOUNG SHERLOCK for Amazon.
They directed and produced the short documentary EV, which was selected for the 2020 BFI Flare Festival. They Co-Produced The Cunning in 2022, starring Gemma Arterton and Bethany Asher, which was selected for Slamdance, Aesthetica, Manchester Beeston film festivals, amongst others.
Most recently they produced RUBINSTEIN’S written and directed by Tommy RossWilliams and starring Anton Lesser (Wolf Hall, Andor), Allan Corduner (Disobedience, The Entertainment System is Down) and Rachel Adedeji (Dreaming Whilst Black, Champion), which is currently on submission to festivals.
In 2025, with Jack Casey, Sid wrote an open letter to the film and television industry on trans rights, which was signed by over 1,500 industry professionals including Bella Ramsey, Harris Dickinson and Molly Manning-Walker.
