Shweta Marathe is a rising filmmaker with an unbound love for storytelling. She had a passion for art from a very young age and began her design journey in 2017 at the National Institute of Design (NID) India, specialising in Communication Design. She made her first animated short film in the foundation year, before being formally introduced to animation, Swim (2017) was the Finalist in Digital Animation at Taiwan International Student Design Competition (TISDC 2018), Breakthrough and Innovation.

Shweta held several positions including Animated Film Director, Design Educator, Comic Book Author, Visual Communication Designer, Screenwriter, Editor, Assistant Director, and considers herself a Lifelong Learner. She takes pride in volunteering as a Tribe Advisor for Sony Talent League (STL III) and at Women In Animation (WIA) to support and celebrate women’s creative talent. Evoking emotions and connecting people to her work inspires her every day.
