Shobhita Thakur is an alumna of the prestigious Film and
Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, where she completed
a 3-year course in Film Editing.
Her journey in the film industry began with the opportunity to
work alongside National Award-winning director Rajan Khosa as Director's Assistant , an
experience that shaped her understanding of storytelling. She
later assisted Anurag Basu on ad films, where she learned the
delicate art of visual storytelling. Most recently, Shobhita
worked as a freelancer with Netflix as an Editorial Creative,
where she had the privilege of working on creative projects
that pushed boundaries. Shobhita has contributed to several
renowned ad film production houses where she worked as an Assistant Director.
With her debut short film “KHILAWADI” she continues to nurture her love for creating meaningful, socially relevant and cinematically engaging narratives.
