My name is Hossein Rasaei, and I am an MA student in Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation at the University of Alberta. My passion lies in exploring and documenting the intricate relationships between mountains, culture, adventure, environment, sports, heritage, and climate change.
I hold a Master's degree in Sport Management from Islamic Azad University, Iran, and a Bachelor's in Law Science from Amin Academy, Tehran. I am a certified expert in eco-tourism, cycle tourism, and mountain tourism, recognized by the Iran Ministry of Tourism and the Mountaineering & Climbing Federation.
My research at the University of Alberta focuses on sustainable tourism practices and the impact of climate change on mountain regions. I have led studies on human interactions with wildlife and trail use in Kananaskis and contributed to sustainable tourism development projects with Naturefriends International.
I have extensive experience as a teaching assistant and instructor in tourism and sport-related courses, and I have guided numerous eco-tourism and mountain tours in Iran. My documentary filmmaking highlights mountain tourism and Persian culture, and my work airs on the Iran Sports TV Channel.
My volunteer work underscores my commitment to environmental stewardship and record-setting climbs to raise awareness for endangered species. I am proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Premiere and fluent in Persian, Kurdish, and English.
