Established in 2010, Seoul Metro International subway Film Festival(SMIFF) holds its 15th edition this year. SMIFF's selected films will be screened at metro stations, on screens of subways and official online theater. The most attractive thing to submit your film to SMIFF is that once selected, Korean citizens can watch and resonate with your film while living their daily lives. Except for the ESG Special Competition, all winners are selected by online voters.

SMIFF cooperates with ShinhanCard and SUBTRAVELLING Barcelona.

* All winners except for a winner of ESG special competition are chosen through an online vote at the festival's website from August 29th to September 25th, 2024.

  • Nice festival, thank you for selecting my short film.

    April 2024
  • This is probably our favorite festival! For nearly a month our happy little film appeared with others on monitors all over the Seoul Metro. In addition QR codes made the films easily accessible through the Metro’s terrific wifi to riders on all lines. That the riders voted us a the Grand Award was almost just icing on the cake! Knowing a large number of the more than seven million people a day who use that Metro saw our film is very satisfying we will submit to SMIFF every year!
