Sensational Short Films is a festival designed to allow filmmakers who create short films an opportunity to monetize their creations. Sensational Short Films shares a percentage of the box office equally with all filmmakers who participate.

All films are screened at the independently owned Woodbury 10 Theatre in Woodbury, Minnesota, several times throughout the year. Any film selected will share with all the contributing filmmakers an equal share of the box office proceeds for the given festival.

While other film festivals promise you "awards," we promise you that your films will be SEEN by a paying audience and you will receive CASH for your contribution.

Rules & Terms

Films must be no more than three years from their production date.

Films must not exceed 40 minutes in length (Academy designated short film duration).

Multiple entries are accepted.

If film has an online presence, it must be removed from free access (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) for a period of 14 days prior to and 3 days after the date of the screening.

Entries are eligible for multiple screenings within the calendar year that they are submitted. For every screening your film is presented at, you will receive a box office report with exact number of admissions, a statement detailing your percentage of payment and a check for the appropriate amount.

Entry fees are non-refundable.
