The ninth edition of Semana Gótica de Madrid Cine SGM Cine (Ventana Oscura), will take place on Friday 18th to Monday 21th October 2024 at the Forum of FNAC Callao. During the event the selected works will be screened

Madrid Gothic Week invites all people over 18 years of age both individually and collectively, to present their audiovisual work in short fiction film format with a maximum duration of 30 minutes (including credits). The works can be an international production by directors regardless of their nationality or of Spanish production and/or by Spanish directors.

The theme and/or content of the short films should be: fantasy fiction, horror, mystery or suspense, documentary and animation films are also welcome to submit.

Awards & Prizes

Cash Prices and Award plaques will be awarded to all winning films in all categories. Full list of award prices will be communicated soon.

Rules & Terms

The duration of the shorts will in no case exceed 30 minutes (including the credits). Authors can submit as many works as they wish, with only one of them being possible to select.

Only productions after January 1, 2022 are admitted regardless of the nationality of the work.

The works must be in English or Spanish. If the original version is in a foreign language, it is essential to subtitle it into English or Spanish.
