Born and raised in Adana, Turkey, Selen Terzi Öztekin completed her undergraduate education at Boston University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Film and TV. She then started working independently in İstanbul as an assistant art director in shorts, ads and feature films like Anadolu Leoparı and Emin Alper’s Burning Days. She directed her first music documentary called Gangu with art director/production designer Ceyda Yüceer and the production company FOK Project.
