Sébastien Segers (1992, Antwerp) is a documentary filmmaker working across directing, producing and cinematography. He graduated cum laude from the Royal Institute of Theatre, Cinema and Sound (RITCS) in Brussels. His work engages with questions of identity, memory and the relationship between communities and the systems that
govern them. He co-directs and produces through Dokma Film, which he founded together with Zaïde Bil in 2016. Their films have screened at Hot Docs Toronto, Filmfest Oostende, Docville, Cinekid Amsterdam, IndieLisboa and Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, among others. He is a member and communicator of the Belgian Union of Directors.
