Calling all filmmakers!
Are you a horror fanatic with a passion for film-making? Spirited about cinema, you might say? The first edition of the Séance: International Film Festival is searching for horror shorts that evoke excitement and fear among audience members.
Shorts must be under 40 minutes long, and we encourage a multicultural flair! We want your myths and tales that aren’t often represented in mainstream horror, and we accept all cinematic styles and aesthetics. Give us your best!
SIFF will be held at the historic RMIT Capitol Theatre in Melbourne, an expansive venue with resources supporting large-scale projection and impeccable sound. A true Melbourne icon, its architecture is significant. Your films will be screened alongside classic and contemporary works from around the world, to an audience that holds an appreciation for the truly spooky and unexpected.
Melbourne is the cultural capital of Australia, endowed with a thriving cinema and art scene. SIFF will be a community-oriented experience that revives Melbourne through cinematic festivities connecting filmmakers with the audience and one another.
Join us for une séance de cinéma!
