Since graduating from the London Film School, Scott has produced two features and eight shorts including London Short Film Festival's Best British Short before writing and directing his debut short, The Bird Feeder.

The film depicted his complicated relationship with his younger brother while he was an addict. It was executive produced by Alan Cumming and starred Lewis Gribben (2023 Scottish BAFTA Winner), Kate Dickie (Two-time Scottish BAFTA Winner), and Ruaridh Mollica (2022 BAFTA winning short, Too Rough).

The Bird Feeder screened at the HB Film Festival, the 17th Lichtspielklub Film Festival, and the St. Andrews Film Festival where Lewis won the award for Best Male Lead.
