Scott Lancaster has had a love for film dating back to his great-great uncle Loren that was a movie star in the 1940's and 50's. Following in those footsteps, he memorized countless stories told to him from his uncle Chris who worked in the movie Industry and for some of the greats like Spielberg and Lucas in the 1980s and 90's. You could say his love for film is in his genetics.
During the 1980s, Scott’s career encompassed more than his love for film. At that time, he taught Ballroom, and Country and Western dancing, and was working part-time for Oklahoma local I.T.S.E and setting up stages for touring bands. In 1989 and 1991, Scott worked in his first two feature films as a production assistant, Foley artist and postproduction.
In 1992, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines came calling and led him to working backstage and eventually into the role of Production Stage Manager where he managed all onboard entertainment, and multi-million-dollar award-winning shows. Scott has worked with such celebrities as Jerry Lewis, Ben Vereen, Bill Cosby, Petula Clark, Captain and Tennille, Shirley Jones and bands like the Platters, Spinners, Marvelettes, Temptations and many other well-known celebrities and bands.
Scott returned to Oklahoma in 2000 to start a family with his wife Kristen and raising their twin boys, Scotty and Kenny. During this time, he was employed as a Stage Manager for Lyric Theatre in Oklahoma City. In 2001, he became the President of Oklahoma's oldest social society, Joie De Vie. After a brief pause, he returned to his first love in the entertainment field, designing and directing Oklahoma's scariest haunted house with his partners. This led Scott and a few of his friends into creating Oklahoma’s largest and the nation’s second largest Zombie 5k Adventure Run.
In 2014, he participated in the world's largest film race – the 48 Hour film race. Since that time, Scott has participated in the 48 Hour Film Race a total of eight times.
Scott has worked on several films and in 2017 decided to try putting his acting talents in-front of the camera and had the good fortune to be in several blockbuster films. In 2020, Scott was back behind the camera producing, directing, and mentoring new filmmakers and working with several of Oklahoma's top film makers.
When he’s not performing or making films, he enjoys being a national BBQ Judge, cooking, pickleball, landscaping, co-hosting a podcast, and writing a number of his future feature films.
