I'm a creative thinker and team-builder. A cartoonist on the loose. I'm fun to work with and serious about approach and results. In response to the Pandemic, I partnered with singer-songwriter Brad Colerick and formed the Deep Magic Song & Drawing Co.

Deep Magic creates animation for music videos and short films for social media posting. We also offer creative consulting for small businesses, destinations and events including marketing, branding and positioning. My unique insights have come from combined experiences over the past three decades as a Disney artist, Chamber of Commerce CEO and creative agency co-owner with national, regional and local accounts. For Walt Disney World I designed many logos including Michael Jackson's Captain Eo. In South Pasadena I co-founded the Eclectic Music Festival and Arts Crawls while repositioning the City as an arts community, as its Chamber president. Hundreds of business owners have worked with me on launching or finessing their brands to get noticed and make profits. I'm often commended as a connector and consensus builder, as well as a creative thinker, designer and writer.

I'm super proud of my adult children with their careers in TV and Children's Book Publishing. I draw my lineage back to Dominie Everardus Bogardus and Annika Jans, with an assist from Richard Gildersleeve and his wife Dorcas. Ignatious Pankratius, and others, too. More directly, I tip my hat to Bob and Shirley, parents, who passed a few years back. I love my quirky old converted Pasadena hotel as a house, and I love to laugh.
