Sarah Carter is a Canadian-born producer, writer, actor, director, musician, and CEO of Cheshire Moon Productions. She’s well-known for her work as an actor, starring in the popular TV series Falling Skies Shark, Smallville, Rogue, Hawaii Five-0, Entourage, and The Flash and films The Vow, Haven, and Final Destination II. Working with and shadowing directors like Spike Lee, Judd Apatow, and Steven Spielberg, she discovered her own passion for writing and filmmaking and the social impact of original storytelling.
Her directorial debut, In Her Name, which she also wrote and produced, premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2022 and won the Audience Award. A Pity, which she produced and starred in, is currently on the festival circuit and premiered internationally in Ischia Italy and nationally in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Portland, Oregon. Both films were produced by Cheshire Moon Productions.
Coordinating artistry with a maternal spirit and a passion for mysticism, her films, writing, directing and acting are inspired and informed by the journey to bring light to what’s unknown with an appreciation for both the deep work involved in creating, and having a wicked smart sense of humor, beauty, and magic along the way.
