Rom-coms are some of the best movies ever made, but the genre is in desperate need of some new voices. My goal is to bring queer stories into mainstream spaces. In front of the camera, behind the camera, and between every goddamn line.
Sara Monge is a Los Angeles-native and Brooklyn-based screenwriter & director who specializes in grounded comedies. Her feature gay rom com, A Magical Place Called Glendale, made in onto the 2019 Blacklist and is currently in development with Pacific Electric Picture Company.
