Sandy Verhoeve is a Dutch video journalist and filmmaker. From 2013 - 2017 she lived and worked in Vienna, Austria. In 2016 she made her first short movie 'Äffchen' (Little Monkey), a thriller that was selected at the Dutch Film Days Vienna festival.
'Pilot' is her second short film, a thriller about attraction, rejection and self-determination. For both her films Sandy was scriptwriter, producer, director and editor. She worked with an international group of talented young actors and filmmakers.
In 2018 Sandy moved to Washington, D.C., where she made the documentary 'The Netherlands Carillon, a Forgotten Monument.' It's a story about architecture, music and the Second World War, but above all it's a movie about the importance of freedom, friendship and connection.
In 2023 Sandy moved to Brussels, Belgium, where she works as a photographer, editor and videographer.
