Samir Albaraheem, also known as Sam Ali, is an Iraqi-American actor, director, and filmmaker. Born in Baghdad, the capital city of Iraq, Samir grew up with a deep passion for storytelling and the arts. In 2005, he graduated from Baghdad University of Economic Sciences and began his professional career as a banker. However, his lifelong dream of being on the big screen never faded.
In 2013, Samir took his first step into the world of cinema when he landed a role as an Iraqi local in the short film East Ramadi. This marked the beginning of his journey in the film industry. Over the years, he has taken on various roles in different movies, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
Driven by his passion for filmmaking, Samir founded his own production company, THE NEW HORIZON, to bring his creative visions to life. Through this platform, he has written, directed, and produced several films, including Mr. Lonely, The Hope, and Juba.
