I’m a writer who cares deeply about story and wants to spend my life making things — writing, collaborating, learning, and being part of the creative world however I can. I’m from Leeds, and that Northern grounding runs through everything I do: straightforward, character-first, and more interested in people than spectacle.
My work is driven by character and emotion. I’m fascinated by identity, relationships, belonging, and the awkward, often unspoken moments that sit between people.
I love working with others and developing ideas collaboratively, whether that’s shaping a story from the ground up, digging into character, or finding the right tone for a piece. My influences are varied, but I’ve always been drawn to work that feels lived-in and specific. I also have a soft spot for the mood and romanticism of the 1980s, which occasionally seeps into the atmosphere of my writing without ever becoming the point of it.
Writers like Jack Thorne, Sally Wainwright, Dennis Kelly, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge have influenced how I think about storytelling — particularly their focus on voice, place, and emotional honesty. They’ve helped shape my belief that the strongest stories come from paying attention to people and trusting the quieter moments.
I’m always writing, always curious, and always trying to get better. I care about the work I make and the people I make it with, and I’m drawn to stories that stay with you — not because they’re loud or clever, but because they feel real.
