Saikiran is a versatile filmmaker specializing in both fiction and non-fiction. With a strong foundation in directing, cinematography, editing, and color grading, he brings a comprehensive approach to his work. He studied filmmaking at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad and gained valuable experience as a creative associate for two years prior to it.
His notable works as Director of Photography include “Farther than Distance,” selected for the Mumbai Film Festival 2023, and “Folds,” which won Best Cinematography at the Poombukar International Film Festival. His directorial debut, “Five Star“, won Best Student Screenplay at the Kerala Shortfilm Festival 2024.
Saikiran is currently developing new projects like the sci-fi short “Meta Pi” and the documentary “Colour of Colours.” His most ambitious project is a travel documentary about his 2300km solo journey from Ahmedabad to Wayanad, exploring rural villages along India’s west coast.
