Saiful Mannu is a firm believer in humanistic values. He champions the human spirit in his stories by instilling his characters with humanistic attributes that help them evolve through life’s trials and tribulations to become better representations of themselves. Mannu has received the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Screenplay for the feature film Putro (2018). Mannu’s vision deals with current social issues involving subjects such as autism, women’s empowerment, and religious exploitation. He desires to build a society that has outgrown cultural, gender, and systemic bias, allowing people to thrive in a harmonious environment.
