She was born in the city of La Plata, Argentina. Filmmaker and Playwright. Studied film and arts at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata. Micaela Carballo's original music was recorded in London and mixed at Abbey Road Studios.

The UFPB University of Paraíba, Brazil, published an article "Lingua [gem] e cultura [s] em fronteira" analyzing the inter-semiotic analysis of her short film "Continuity of the parks". She wrote the poetry in Italian Aghi del tempo and was selected to be part of the 2023 anthology of the XV “José Carlos Capparelli” contest organized by the Buenos Aires Sicilian Association.

2023-2024 I Dream with the Stars, a short film, premiered at the Britten Theater at Royal College London. With live music, the orchestra performed the original music of the short film composed by Micaela Carballo. It is currently being screened internationally and has been screened in Spain, Italy and Colombia.

2023 As a writer, historian and silent film researcher, she was part of the editing of the films that were screened at the "Silent Films Live III 2023" concert organized by award-winning director Angel Velez that took place in Los Angeles, United States. She wrote the script for the presentation of the silent films projected at the concert and for its host Suzanne Lloyd, granddaughter and popularizer of the brilliant cinema of Harold Loyd.
