* Once again selected as one of the top 50 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee by Moviemaker Magazine *

As one of the longest-running film, music and arts festivals in the country, the Southeast New England Film, Music & Arts Festival has established itself as one of the premier festivals in New England dedicated to giving life to independent cinema, music and art.

SENE is a very filmmaker-friendly festival with multiple parties and networking opportunities. All films, parties, brunches, events, panels and awards ceremonies are free to attending filmmakers and screenwriters.

Film Selection:
95% of selected films come from official submissions.
25% of submitted films were selected for screening last year.
Festival programmers (Phil Capobres & Don Farias) personally review every film submission.
Last year 50 films received jury or audience awards.

Film Scheduling:
Screening times are scheduled with an emphasis on avoiding conflicting programs which means a stronger audience for your film. No more than 2 film programs are scheduled to screen at the same time.
SENE accepts all film genres and categories and creates screenings to showcase them.

Festival Benefits:
All films will be introduced by a Festival Director.
Dedicated Q&A time for visiting filmmakers at their screening.
Providence airport/train station pickup and local transportation to our venues is provided to visiting filmmakers (as available).
Ample opportunities to network with filmmakers, artists and musicians
Films not selected will still receive a free SENE Festival Film Pass (good for all film screenings)

Additional Screening Opportunities:
Films are eligible for multiple screenings as part of our traveling Limelight Series programming. Comedy shorts are also considered for the Boston Comedy Festival.

Films are eligible for over 30 jury awards and 20 audience awards

I had an incredible time at Sene with my short film Stronger Together! Our screening was packed full of local audiences who were super enthusiastic and engaged and the other filmmakers at the fest were amazing. I can't wait to come back!

It was a great festival by some really nice people. Phil Capobres would make the extra effort to meet everyone. Just a great gem to submit and/or attend for the indie film lovers. I did really enjoy their genre sections, especially the horror shorts.
