“For STUDIO 5.0 the maximum length of short film should not be more than 5mins. Including start and end credits.
"Documentary films must not exceed 15 minutes in length including credits".
"The age of the participants must be at least 18 years".
General Rules and Regulations:
1. The length of the short film should not be less than 5mins. and more than 15 mins. Including start and end credits. (All categories excluding STUDIO 5.0).
2. A submission will be considered complete only after the DOWNLOAD IS ENABLED for the film's preview screener and has SUBTITLES.
3. The participants cannot withdraw the film under any circumstances once they have submitted it to the festival.
4. There is no restriction on the language of the film. But, all the entries must be subtitled in English. And the filmmaker should compulsorily provide an SRT file or embed the subtitles in the downloadable version of the film if selected for the screening.
5. The films must not contain any copyrighted work(s) belonging to third parties unless the participants have a license to use such work(s) in the film. However, royalty-free music can be used with proper credits.
6. By submitting the movie to the 6th Belgaum International Short Film Festival, filmmaker/producer takes the whole responsibility of copyright issues of music, script and other creative and technical aspects of the film.
7. BISFF organization has the right to use the nominated films for the Festival promotional purposes.
8. Films will be judged by a judging panel of industry professionals consisting of independent producers, filmmakers, and other film industry professionals.
9. 6th Belgaum International Short Film Festival does not take any type of financial commitment for the expense incurred on the correspondence by the participant. All Travel, Lodging & Boarding and other miscellaneous expenses will have to be borne by the participant himself for attending the festival. No request for the same will be entertained. However festival organizers may guide you through it.
10. All the Short Films and Short Documentaries will be confidentially screened by a pre-selection committee of the festival. The committee reserves every right to exclude submissions that are not in conformity with the objectives of the competition or which offend national feelings or likely to promote discrimination based on gender, caste, creed, religion or language.
12. Best films will be awarded Trophy, Certificate, and Cash Prize. The decision of the panel will be final, unquestionable and binding on all the participants.
- If the Indian filmmakers or any of the representatives of a particular film are not present during the screening/award ceremony then the cash prize will be canceled and will not be transferred on request.
- Foreign Filmmakers must compulsorily have PayPal account for receiving cash prizes.
13. Due to the large number of entries we receive, we will not be able to offer any feedback to those films not accepted.
14. The film submission fee is non-refundable.
15. The applicants will be notified about the selection for the screening.
16. The festival has the right to make any changes in the rules and regulations, guidelines, dates, without any prior notice.
17. If the submitter is a student He/She should produce valid proof to the festival at savbisff@gmail.com
18. Festival has right to screen the short film in its year-round program under ScreenShort Film Club.

"Studio 5.0 Category":
This Category is in collaboration with Eyeline Pictures, Belgaum.
1. DO YOU HAVE A SHORT FILM LESS THAN 5 MINS.
2. 5.0 is a unique platform to showcase your short films.
3. After every Deadline, our Jury will select the Best Film(s) and those film(s) will be screened at Belgaum International Short Film Festival in the month of December.
4. With the due permission of Maker, we will upload these selected films on Eyeline Pictures' website (www.eyelinepictures.co) every month/week after the festival is concluded.
5. Only the selected film(s) from every deadline shall compete in this Category.
6. No age restriction in this category.
7. All other general rules and regulations considered in this category as well. So please read it before submitting it.
