Rydrea Walker is an American Deaf filmmaker, producer, and entrepreneur from Fayette, Alabama. He is the founder and CEO of WarriorsGate Entertainment, a Deaf-led entertainment company focused on film, television, live production, and media development that amplifies underrepresented voices, particularly within Black and BIPOC Deaf communities.
Walker began filmmaking in 2012 while still in high school, founding Walker ASL Pictures, which later evolved into WarriorsGate Entertainment in 2017. His early short film "Bob Movie" earned recognition at the Jacksonville State University Technology Fair, helping establish his direction as a storyteller committed to authentic Deaf representation.
Over the years, Walker has developed projects across narrative film, promotional media, live event production, and branded content. His work includes collaborations with educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and Deaf community initiatives, with a focus on directing, producing, writing, and post-production. His recent work includes the short film Erased, continuing his commitment to emotionally grounded storytelling centered on Deaf perspectives.
In addition to filmmaking, Walker continues expanding WarriorsGate Entertainment as a long-term media company with interests in original content, studio development, streaming, and film production infrastructure designed to create greater opportunities for Deaf creatives in the entertainment industry.
