Ruth is a trained theatre Actor, Drama tutor with a background in physical theatre, dance, and puppetry, and has taught devised theatre for more than 30 years in schools and various community settings throughout Australia.

A late-comer to screen, but with a passion for the craft, Ruth is constantly training, developing, re-emerging, regenerating and tutoring in screen - taking opportunities to work with passionate people to strengthen and diversify arts practices.

Canberran Actor-producer-writer turned director-videographer, Ruth’s published play: DEMENTED inspired by lived experience, impelled her to write award-winning screenplay: THOUGHTLESS.
Her short of Thoughtless (POC) was recently been nominated for Preselection at Tropfest 2026.

Known for FOLLOW YOUR NOSE, winning ‘People’s Choice Award’ Lights Canberra Action, ‘Best Actress’ Veneto International Film Festival, finalist WTF Festival, Far South Festival, and ‘Highly Commended’ Canberra Short Film Festival.
