Rowan Russell is a queer writer, actor and filmmaker born and raised in San Francisco, California. He's produced Hulu's I TRAPPED THE DEVIL in 2019, cited by several publications as a top horror film of the year by the likes of Rolling Stone and Vulture Magazine, and the road trip buddy comedy 1 NIGHT IN SAN DIEGO. His short films include STRAIGHT JACKET, which he wrote about his own bisexuality and place in the LGBTQ+ community, and the award nominated short CLOSER TO GOD.
Recently, Rowan wrapped a first AD role for THE BLUE ROSE, the debut feature from writer/director George Baron. Sarena Khan is producing along with EP Jay Van Hoy (THE VVITCH, THE LIGHTHOUSE).
