Roman Zhukov

Brief biography: Born in Lipetsk, Russia. After graduating from high school in 2005, I entered the Lipetsk State Technical University. At the age of 18, I became interested in cinema and made my first short films. It soon became my passion and I liked it more than studying at the University.
I graduated my study in 2010 with a degree in Chemistry. From 2010 to 2011, served in the Railway Troops. After completing his service, moved to St. Petersburg. Here I entered the St. Petersburg University of Management and Economics, specializing in advertising and public relations.
Since 2012, I have been actively creating commercials and music videos to improve my skills as a director. I did a few more short films, for which I received awards in Russia.
In 2016, I founded the production company “MAYA'S FILMS” together with my wife Maya Lukina.
During this time, our company has accumulated a lot of experience in creating short films and series pilots based on our own scripts.
Our main project today is a comedy TV Show – “Borsch&Burger”, which we shot the pilot episode for. This is a show about the adventures of an illegal Russian immigrant girl who came to the United States through Mexico. She constantly gets into trouble and sets up her roommate, a law-abiding American postman.
