Roman Kraiński (born 2000 in Gdansk) is a director, screenwriter and short story author based in Krakow. He holds a master’s degree in Scandinavian Studies from the Jagiellonian University, where he also published academic articles on Nordic cinema. During a year abroad at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, he gained hands-on experience as a still photographer on international film sets.
He completed a documentary film program at Fundacja Filmowa im. Władysława Ślesickiego – Pierwszy Film in Warsaw. Currently, he is pursuing a master’s in Film Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. During his studies, he served twice as a member of the student jury at the International Krakow Film Festival.
His short film Best Friends, based on his award-winning screenplay recognized by the Kraków Film Commission, marks his directorial debut.
