Hello, I'm Robert Boyle, a storyteller passionate about music and film. I was raised in a family of musicians in Detroit and started playing in church, teen clubs, and fraternity parties before I could drive. I moved to Boston to attend the Berklee College of Music, where I studied arranging and composition while working as a songwriter, producer, and performer. In pursuing a greater understanding of people and what motivates them, I obtained a graduate degree in psychotherapy from the University of Michigan. Then…
My dreams led me to Los Angeles in 2004, where I have been dedicated to making them a reality ever since. I have placed songs in many movies, from Child's Play to the recent Puppet Master film, and was also a staff writer for Peer Music's Latin division and EMI Publishing. My experiences as a musician have allowed me to hone my storytelling skills, gain a deeper understanding of the creative process, and appreciate the many things songwriting and screenwriting have in common.
For the past 12 years, I've worked on learning everything I can about screenwriting. I've been very blessed to have been mentored and instructed by producers, writers, directors, and actors. The script I'm submitting is my fourth, called The Almighty Warriors. I'm especially excited to present it to you because… the protagonist is a renegade rockstar!
Thank you for taking the time to consider my work.
Best,
Robert Boyle
