Rising Stars Colorado Film Festival, working in collaboration with the Pueblo Film Festival, is a chance for high schoolers from the state of Colorado to submit their work to be shown at both the Rising Stars Colorado Film Festival and the Pueblo Film Festival. The festival will be held in Pueblo, CO at a number of venues in March of 2025. Students may submit films in the categories of Drama, Comedy, Documentary, Horror, or Animation.

Awards & Prizes

Judges with backgrounds in the film industry will select the top five films from each category to be shown at the Rising Stars festival, and the top film from each category (chosen by the audience) will be shown at the Pueblo Film Festival in April. At the end of the Rising Stars Festival, there will be an awards ceremony where the winner of each category is revealed. Each first place winner will also receive a cash prize of $100 as well as various gift cards from local businesses.

Rules & Terms

In order to submit, you must be a current high school student in the state of Colorado and your film must fall into the categories of Drama, Comedy, Documentary, Horror, or Animation. Each film must be 20 minutes or less and must not have excessive foul language or any nudity. Submissions in languages other than English are allowed but must have english subtitles.
