Rising Stars Colorado Film Festival—in collaboration with the Pueblo Film Festival and the Pueblo City-County Library District—provides a platform for high school filmmakers from across the United States to share their stories, showcase their creativity, and develop their artistic voice. Held at the Rawlings Library in Pueblo, Colorado in April 10, 2026, the festival features student-made short films in Drama, Comedy, Documentary, Horror, and Animation.
Our mission is to uplift emerging youth storytellers, expand access to film education, and create opportunities for young artists to be seen, celebrated, and supported. By connecting students with industry professionals, community partners, and a statewide audience, Rising Stars cultivates confidence, skill-building, and creative belonging.
Judges with backgrounds in the film industry will select the top films from each category to be shown at the Rising Stars festival, and the top films from each category will be shown at the Pueblo Film Festival in April. At the end of the Rising Stars Festival, there will be an awards ceremony where the winner of each category is revealed.
