Richie Harrington grew up in Boston, Massachusetts and graduated from the University of Miami. He was studying to become a doctor when he had a quarter life crisis and decided to pursue his true passion of writing and directing film. After moving to Los Angeles, Richie started as an assistant for Michael Bay during post production of Transformers 5 and preproduction of 6 Underground. After that, he served as David O. Russell's creative executive on David's latest feature film, Amsterdam.
Richie has directed and produced commercials and branded content for clients such as Disney, Meta, Sutter Home Wine, and many more. He produced videos for the newly launched YouTube channel, TalesVision, which specializes in scripted VFX-driven fantasy content and has over 400,000 subscribers and 160 million views.
His scripts have placed in the ScreenCraft Film Fund, Final Draft Big Break, Outstanding Screenplays, Launch Pad, Austin Film Festival, and the Filmmatic Horror Awards. His short films have screened at Queens World Film Festival, New York Psychedelic Film Festival, LA Neo Noir Film Festival, Best Shorts, and LA Webfest.
