"When you make movies that comes from the bottom of your heart, it´s even impossible to make a bad movie." - Ricardo Rosales
Ricardo Rosales is a Mexican filmmaker passionate about telling stories that captivate and challenge the boundaries of independent cinema.
Founder of White Paper Productions in 2021, he has directed, written, and produced short films that have been recognized both in Mexico and internationally. Among his most notable works is Anonimato (2022), a thriller that earned him multiple awards, including Best Director at the Unleashed festival and an official selection at the Lift-Off Filmmakers Sessions held at Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom.
Throughout his career, he has received recognition from institutions such as IMCINE, the National Association of Producer-Directors (S.C.), and Relicario Cine, endorsed by producer Nicolás Celis (Roma, 2018).
With a clear vision—to prove that thrillers of international quality can also be told from Mexico without relying on major studios—Ricardo is committed to stories that explore human complexity, suspense, and strong visual aesthetics, always aiming to move and provoke reflection in the audience.
