Songwriting is sharing the human experience in your own original way.
Renee Audrey is a 23-year-old, award-winning singer-songwriter-musician from Millburn New Jersey. Audrey has been writing and playing her original music for 19 years on the piano and guitar in both English and Spanish. She has also received songwriting awards on local and national levels. In 2016, Audrey took 2nd place in the national Grammy Foundation's Teens Make Music contest for substance-abuse prevention, and at her alma mater, Muhlenberg College, she took first place in WMUH's 2020 Radio Riff-Off Competition. On the global level, Audrey's song, "Water My Lilies," is a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition of 2022. "Water My Lilies" and "Mirror Mirror" both won Honorable Mentions in the Women's Freedom Song Contest of 2023 as well. Audrey has opened for bands such as Creed Bratton of the Grass Roots, Broseph and M'Lynn, as well as headlined for venues such as Muhlenberg College, the Allentown Symphony Lyric Room, and East Berlin in NYC. She has also emceed Drake Bell's performance at Muhlenberg College in 2021. When she is not playing and recording her original music, she is a full-time doctoral student at Rutgers University Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology to become a clinical psychologist. Singing and playing her music on the piano and guitar, she hopes that her acoustic performance will connect her audience to one another as well as her music that raises awareness about mental health and surrounding societal issues.
