Rencontres 7e Art Lausanne is an international festival where cinema heritage meets contemporary creation, bringing together renowned filmmakers, passionate audiences and industry professionals for screenings and conversations in an inspiring setting.
As part of its 2026 edition, the festival launches the European short film competition “Nid à talents.”

Submitted films must offer a strong, personal and meaningful interpretation of hope — whether intimate, social, political, poetic or symbolic. The connection to the theme is a central selection criterion.

Three short films are selected at the sole discretion of the festival and presented during an official ceremony. Each selected film receives one of three distinctions — Prix Envol, Prix du Jury, or Prix Coup de Cœur — and each distinction includes a financial award.
Participation is free of charge. Selected films are screened on the big screen and showcased to audiences and professionals.

We are honoured to welcome acclaimed actor, director and producer Daniel Brühl as President of the Jury for the 2026 edition of the “Nid à talents” competition at Rencontres 7e Art Lausanne. His international career and artistic vision will bring a unique perspective to the selection and recognition of emerging cinematic voices.

Three short films are selected in the official European competition “Nid à talents” and awarded during a dedicated ceremony at Rencontres 7e Art Lausanne.

The following distinctions are presented:
Prix Envol – CHF 1,000
Prix du Jury – CHF 1,500
Prix Coup de Cœur – CHF 2,500

In addition to the financial awards, selected filmmakers benefit from:
• An official big-screen screening during the festival
• Presentation and recognition at the award ceremony in January
• Visibility among international guests, filmmakers, industry professionals and media
• Official laureate status and festival communication support
• Networking opportunities within a prestigious international cultural event
Rencontres 7e Art Lausanne welcomes renowned cinema figures and a passionate audience, offering emerging filmmakers meaningful exposure in a high-profile artistic context.
