Experienced film director and writer, Renato has shot all kind of audiovisuals, creative documentaries, one-off documentary, web-series, music-videos, advertisement and a feature film.

In 2010 he made his first documentary film, COOPERANTI, and in 2011 with A GREAT MACEDONIAN he won awards in Italy and abroad. He then directed social advertisements and short films and in 2014 he won "Are You Series?" (Milano Film Festival) that allowed him to create and produce the first season of "Status" the web series (Best Director at the Roma Web Fest - Best Cinematography, San Francisco Web Fest).

In 2022 he accomplished his first feature film, La guerra a Cuba (War in Cuba), a film about the issues of diversity and migration in the Mediterranean (Best Film and Audience choice - Little Rock Film Festival, Best Film - Log To Green Movie Award - Venice Film Festival; Best Film - Reggio Calabria Film Fest, Best Film Best Screenplay and Best Lead Actor - Caorle Film Fest...)

His latest works focus on documentary, Lonely Dolls, produced by EiE Film for Discovery+ (Italy) and Finding the First Peoples: the Mapuche, a scientific documentary produced by the University of Zurich.
