Rediscover Korea is a video contest where participants explore Korean culture in Canada and tell their experiences through the lens.

Submission is free and participants must be Canadian and/or residents of Canada.

Awards & Prizes

<1st Place> $400 CAD
- Eligible videos must be Canadian and/or residents of Canada (restrictions may apply to applicants in the Province of Quebec.

<2nd Place> $300 CAD
- Eligible videos must be Canadian and/or residents of Canada (restrictions may apply to applicants in the Province of Quebec.

<3rd Place> $200 CAD
- Eligible videos must be Canadian and/or residents of Canada (restrictions may apply to applicants in the Province of Quebec.

PLEASE NOTE:
- Award Categories and Prizes are subject to change.
- If your video does not meet the eligibility requirements of the award category selected by the applicant, we have the right to eliminate your video from the selected category.

Rules & Terms

PLEASE READ THE SUBMISSION GUIDELINE CAREFULLY. FILM ENTRIES THAT FAIL TO FULFILL THE SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: By submitting your Video ("Video") to Rediscover Korea Video Contest("RKVC"), you accept and agree that you grant RKVC a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, screen, broadcast, and distribute the Video, as well as the unrestricted use of the Video for any purpose, without compensation to the provider of the Video. Videos from Quebec may experience exclusion from submissions due to laws set by the province of Quebec.

RKVC's programming team reviews all Videos, and a jury panel appointed by RKVC selects the award winners. Official selections will screen on an online platform and air on OMNI 2 (CH. 14) via Arirang Korea TV.

RKVC Call for Submissions

- Theme: Rediscover Korea
ex: Exploring Korean culture (Korean food, Korea town, Korean language) in Toronto and/or Canada.

- Genre: No restrictions
- Length: 10 minutes or less (with credits)
- Language: English or English subtitle is a must if films contain spoken language(s) other than English.

- Deadline: Sunday, October 1, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. EST. (No Submission Fee)

- Copyrights: All copyright material(s) used in the final cut must be cleared by the Applicant before submitting. Any issue(s) that may arise due to infringement of copyrights is the Applicant’s sole responsibility. RKVC, Sponsors and its members are not responsible for any infringement of copyrights.

NOTE: All submissions are reviewed by RKVC's programming team and the award winners are selected by the jury panel assigned by RKVC. Finalists give Arirang Korea TV and Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Toronto the non-exclusive rights without payment to use, screen, broadcast, publish, distribute on all possible media platforms and for promotional purposes indefinitely.
