ENGLISH REGULATION (Segue versione in italiano)

Dates
The first edition of RED LINE - International Film Festival will take place in MONTALCINO from June the 13th to June the 16th 2024.

Objectives
The festival aims to constitute a meeting point for cutting-edge National and International cinema. The festival’s purpose is to promote cinematography and to give value as an expressive and story-telling means, as well as a way of knowledge and in depth-analysis of reality.

Organizers
Il festival is organized by Iniziative di Solidarietà - OdV- and Office Number Four.

Festival Sections
The Festival is divided in the following sections:
-International Features Competition (for films of any genre, length: more than 60 minutes).
-International Short Competition (for films of any genre, length: up to 20 minutes).
-“Territorio” (for films of any genre filmed within Montalcino municipality area).
The festival direction will nominate an international jury that will bestow the following awards:
-Best Feature Film: € 1200;
-Best Documentary Film: € 700;
-Best Short Film: € 600;

-Best Film for “Territorio” section: € 200;

Film registration and deadline
The registration procedure and the present regulation can be found on the festival official website www.redlinefilmfestival.com. Film registration must be completed on the website www.filmfreeway.com. Registrations open JULY 15, 2023. Copyright holders of the films who intend to participate in the Festival must register by and no later than MARCH 15th, 2024. Registration for film in “Territorio” section must be registered by and no later than April 15, 2024.

Selection
The selection of the films, which is final and binding, is conducted by the Festival direction. For “International feature competition” and “International short competition” films will be considered only if completed after January 1st, 2023 (or premiered after that date). Filmmakers and/or Producers will be notified of the results of the selection starting from April 20, 2024. For selection screenings all films have to be submitted in their original version with English subtitles. unless the original version of the film is Italian. Films in Italian language can be submitted in their original versions without subtitles. In case of selection for the festival English subtitles will be required.
The festival will only accept the submission of a film if the submitter is the holder of all usage rights to the film necessary for the submission and use of the film within the context of participation in the festival, and if the submitter can also effectively grant the festival these rights. The festival reserves the right to demand appropriate proof of these rights and to reject the submission upon failure to provide it.
Producers, distributors and other people or organizations submitting a film must ensure that any third parties connected to the production agree to its participation in the festival.

Film screenings
The program and screening times will be established by the Festival Organizers.
Each film could be screened up to 7 times during the festival and in the following 3 months, exclusively within Montalcino municipal area. Foreign films will be screened in their original version with Italian/English subtitles. For non-Italian speaking films, the producers are invited to provide an English subtitle file.
The Festival Organizers will publish a digital catalog of all the participating films. Copyright holders of the films participating in the Festival are asked to deposit the file sent for the selection process in the Festival Archive, for research purposes only.
No film may be withdrawn from the festival programme after its participation has been publicly announced.

Selected Film:requested material
In case of selection, materials must be sent as following:
-1 copy of the film with the final editing of the film (to prepare subtitles).
-1 subtitle file: .srt o .stl.
-1 trailer of the film, for promotional purposes, with publishing authorization (web and other media).
-Director’s statement concerning his/her working for the film (English and/or Italian);
-English synopsis;
-Director’s biography, in English (max 400 characters, spaces included);
-Director’s filmography, in English (list of titles and year of production);
-Photographic documentation with publishing authorization: 2 images of the film 300 dpi in JPEG format, 7 cm wide (for promotion on the web); 3 to 5 images of the film in jpg/tif/eps/pdf at 300 dpi, 20 cm wide (for press catalogue). Each photo should be labelled with the film title and a number (e.g. film_title1.jpg; film_title2.jpg).
-Complete and final list of dialogues, including any voice off (post-production script) and list of subtitles (if any), in English and if possible in Italian (with timecode).
-Any other information that may be useful for selection purposes.
If possible, the submitter should provide also a film poster in electronic form (300dpi JPG of 13x18 cm), and five printed copies no larger than A0 format.
This material will be used for the purpose of editorial coverage of the festival.

General Rules
Shipping costs to and from Montalcino will be covered by the entrant, except when other agreements have been made with the Festival Organizers. These regulations have been drawn up in Italian and English. In case of dispute, the Italian version will be final. Application for entry to the Festival constitutes unconditional agreement to all the regulations herein.
The Festival Organizers reserve the right to make decisions on matters not specified herein. Any legal disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of Court of Siena, Italy.

Data e Durata
La prima edizione del RED LINE – Festival Internazionale del Cinema si svolgerà a MONTALCINO da giovedì 13 a domenica 16 Giugno 2024.

Obiettivi
Il festival si propone come luogo di incontro e confronto per il cinema nazionale e internazionale. Obiettivo prioritario del festival è quello di promuovere la cinematografia e la sua valorizzazione come mezzo di espressione, di narrazione e spazio di conoscenza e approfondimento della realtà.

Organizzatori
Il Festival è organizzato dall’associazione Iniziative di Solidarietà - OdV- e da Office Number Four.

Sezioni del Festival
Il Festival si articola nelle seguenti sezioni:
-Concorso Internazionale Lungometraggi (film di qualsiasi genere di durata superiore ai 60 minuti).
-Concorso Internazionale Cortometraggi (film di qualsiasi genere di durata inferiore ai 20 minuti).
-Sezione Territorio (film di qualsiasi genere, girati nel territorio del comune di Montalcino).

La Direzione del Festival nominerà una giuria internazionale, incaricata di assegnare i seguenti premi:
-Miglior Lungometraggio: € 1200;
-Miglior Documentario: € 700;
-Miglior Cortometraggio: € 600;

Per i film in concorso non saranno pagati costi di noleggio.

Programma
Oltre alle sezioni del festival e alle proiezioni ufficiali il programma del festival potrà prevedere: omaggi e retrospettive, workshop, incontri, focus tematici, eventi speciali.
Iscrizione dei film e termine di presentazione
Le modalità di iscrizione e il presente regolamento possono essere trovati sulla pagina ufficiale del film festival www.redlinefilmfestival.com. I titolari dei diritti delle opere che intendono partecipare al Festival potranno iscriversi sul sito www.filmfreeway.com . Le iscrizioni si apro-no il 15 LUGLIO 2023. Il termine ultimo per la presentazione dei filmati è il 15 MARZO 2024. Le opere in concorso per la sezione “Territorio” possono essere iscritte entro il 15 aprile 2024.

Selezione
La selezione dei film per tutte le sezioni del Festival avviene a cura e giudizio insindacabile della Direzione del Festival. Nelle sezioni “Concorso internazionale lungometraggi” e “Concorso internazionale cortometraggi” possono partecipare film terminati dopo il 1 gennaio 2023. La data della prima proiezione pubblica sarà determinante. Gli Autori e/o i Produttori saranno informati dell'esito della selezione a partire dal 20 aprile 2024. Per la selezione tutte le opere in concorso dovranno essere presentate in lingua originale con sottotitoli in inglese. Film in italiano potranno essere presentati nella versione originale senza sottotitoli. In caso di selezione sarà richiesta una copia con sottotitoli in lingua inglese.

Chi iscrive l’opera garantisce che è il detentore dei diritti e dell’uso del film per la partecipazione alla competizione. Con l’iscrizione dell’opera si garantiscono tali diritti a titolo gratuito al festival esclusivamente, limitatamente e contestualmente all’iniziativa del festival. Il festival si riserva il diritto di richiedere la documentazione relativa a tali dei diritti e di escludere l’opera nel caso in cui tale documentazione si rivelasse non sufficiente.

Produttori, distributori, registi o chi iscrive il film garantisce che tutte le parti legate alla produzione dello stesso accettano i termini del presente regolamento e la partecipazione al festival dell’opera.

Proiezioni dei Film
Il calendario e gli orari delle proiezioni sono di esclusiva competenza della Direzione del Festival. Ogni film potrà essere proiettato sino ad un massimo di 7 volte durante il festival e/o nei 3 mesi successivi alla data di svolgimento del festival esclusivamente nel territorio comunale. I film stranieri saranno presentati in versione originale con sottotitoli italiani e/o inglesi. Per i film parlati in una lingua diversa dall’inglese, i produttori dei film devono fornire al Festival una copia sottotitolata in inglese.

La Direzione del Festival curerà la pubblicazione di un catalogo generale digitale delle opere presentate. I proprietari dei film presentati al Festival sono invitati a depositare il file inviato per la selezione, per la conservazione presso l’archivio del Festival, a esclusivi fini di studio.

In nessun caso un film può essere ritirato dalla competizione una volta che la sua partecipazione è stata resa pubblica.

In caso di selezione, i formati di proiezione dovranno essere concordati con l’Ufficio Programmazione del Festival. Il video dovrà essere senza sottotitoli impressi che dovranno essere forniti a parte in formato .srt o .stl per consentire la sottotitolazione.

documentazione richiesta
In caso di selezione, la documentazione è la seguente:
-1 copia del film per la sottotitolazione perfettamente fedele alla versione che sarà proiettata in sala.
-1 copia dei sottotitoli formato: .srt o .stl.
-1 trailer del film, da utilizzare per scopi promozionali con autorizzazione alla pubblicazione e diffusione promozionale (web e altri mezzi).
-dichiarazione/nota d'intenti del regista relativa al film presentato;
-sinossi in italiano e in inglese;
-biografia del regista in italiano e/o in inglese (max 400 battute, spazi compresi);
-filmografia del regista (elenco completo dei titoli e anno di produzione);
-documentazione fotografica con autorizzazione alla pubblicazione e diffusione promozionale: a) 2 immagini del film in formato JPEG 300 dpi, 7 cm di base (per la promozione sul web); b) da 3 a 5 immagini del film in formato jpg/tif/eps/pdf a 300 dpi, 20 cm di base (per stampa e/o catalogo). Ciascuna foto dovrà essere nominata con il titolo del film e un numero progressivo (p.e. titolofilm_1.jpg; titolofilm_2.jpg). –
-Lista completa e definitiva dei dialoghi e lista dei sottotitoli (se previsti) in una o più delle seguenti lingue: italiano, inglese (con timecode).
-Ogni altro materiale informativo che possa essere utile.

Se possibile, il proponente dovrebbe fornire anche un film poster in formato elettronico (300dpi JPG di 13x18 cm), e cinque stampe in formato non più grande di A0.
Il materiale richiesto sarà utilizzato anche per la copertura stampa dell’evento.

Norme Generali
Tutte le spese di spedizione dei film e dell’eventuale materiale pubblicitario sono a carico dei proponenti (andata e ritorno), salvo diversa specifica indicazione con-cordata con l’Ufficio Programmazione. Il presente regolamento è redatto in italiano e inglese. In caso di problemi interpretativi, fa fede la versione italiana. La richiesta di ammissione al Festival implica l’accettazione incondizionata del presente regolamento.
La Direzione del Festival può prendere decisioni relative a questioni non previste dal presente regolamento. Per ogni eventuale controversia è competente il Foro di Siena.
