Once I sat down to play Hallelujah on a public piano in a Rome train station, and within moments was joined by strangers belting out harmonies with me, while morning commuters rushed past. Music is a language that transcends difference, transports you to another world, and can change everything in an instant. From singing under the moonlight along the Zambezi river, to performing in the Duomo in Florence, to singing my kids to sleep - music is my first language.
I am a Canadian singer songwriter that loves building eclectic sounds by playfully mixing a diversity of genres, including Indie, folk, pop, jazz and bluegrass. Inspired by Ella Fitzgerald, Cyndi Lauper and Sinead O'Connor at an early age, the only certainty I ever had in my life is that I needed to sing. Classically trained in voice and piano, I also play the guitalele.
