Rebecca Moreno is a filmmaker and cultural producer, born in the Northeast of Brazil and currently based in Lisbon. She holds a degree in Film and a Master’s in Multimedia Art from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Lisbon. Her debut film, Lençol Branco, was selected for festivals such as the Tiradentes Film Festival, FEST — New Directors | New Films Festival, Caminhos do Cinema Português, and Curta Cinema. In addition to her work in filmmaking, she is active in cultural production, having co-created the Mini Webfilm Festival (2020) and collaborated with festivals such as Doclisboa, IndieLisboa, and LEFFEST. She also has experience in film production, having been part of shooting crews for production companies such as Som e a Fúria and Terratreme Filmes. Her artistic practice is a gesture of resistance, confrontation, and experimentation, seeking through creation to open spaces for belonging, reflection, and the affirmation of narratives that bring visibility to memories, identities, and voices that have been marginalized.
