Rebecca Jackson-Artis is a native Chicagoan who is an actor, writer, comedian, and producer. She received a BA in theatre arts - performance from Hampton University and an MFA in screenwriting from the University of Georgia. She is also a graduate of The Second City-Chicago Conservatory and was half of the comedy duo, Straight & Nappy. Since 2009, Rebecca has worked part time as a Certified Lactation Specialist and Breastfeeding Peer Counselor. Later, she became a doula and continues to educate African American women on maternal and child health advocacy. Rebecca lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with her mother and two sons.
